well, hello there...

the post in which the intrepid writer attempts to start a blog and hopefully not bungle it up too badly.

Hello there, blogsphere. How is it going? What's new in your life? Is it painfully obvious that I am new to this?

I wanted to start a blog that was mostly for pictures accompanied maybe by a smallish blurb from yours truly once in awhile but one does not simply walk into a story without introducing the main character first. Am I mixing metaphors now? Ah well. We charge on.

I am E.M. Lee, Lee for short. I am a graduate student who loves to read, write and photograph life.

I am very close with my family, a dog person (cat person too but alas, they make me breakout in hives) and a somewhat serious Disney fan. Once upon a time, I was a competitive dancer; now I teach it.

Here are some snippets and vignettes of who I am (without all of the embarrassing bits of course! Nobody needs to know that I am also terrified of butterflies.) I'm hoping now that you know a little more about me, we can dive into the blogsphere together without too much awkwardness!

This blog is intended to be a space to share and cultivate creativity, combining two of my favorite past times; writing and taking photos. I have been behind the lens for the past 5 years and one can definitely see my improvement as time has passed.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to travel far and near, partake in life’s special moments and read many a book. Within my photos you will (hopefully) see my passions and hear my stories; past, present and future.
